At Bathshop321 we specialise in crafting baths to meet the needs of a wide range of customers, from deep spacious bathtubs to space-efficient tubs ideal for smaller bathrooms.

Our rage is able to meet almost any need and includes baths covering a huge range of manufacturing materials and design styles.

We often receive a lot of questions on our range of reinforced baths, so today we’ll be taking a closer look at them and learning what a reinforced bath is, how they are made and the great benefits of owning one.

What is a Reinforced Bath?

Our reinforced acrylic baths are strengthened substantially during a thorough reinforcement process, in which the underside of the bath receives a strengthening and heat-retaining coating and final (green) ‘flow coat’ jacket.

This coat makes the bath incredibly strong and hardwearing, comparable in strength to that of a classic cast iron tub.

What are the benefits of a reinforced baths?

Reinforced bathtubs come with a range of great benefits. Here are just a few great reasons to consider purchasing a reinforced bathtub from Bathshop321:

  • Reinforced baths will retain heat for approx. 30 minutes longer than a standard acrylic bath. This is based on a starting temperature of 55 degrees Celsius and reducing to 45 degrees Celsius.
  • They are demonstrably stronger than standard acrylic baths. Based on measuring the extent to which a cut section of a bath will bend when a 1kg weight is attached to it. A standard bath with bend to 56mm, the reinforced bath will bend to only 45mm.
  • These baths have a unique design and a unique cradle support system. Once installed, the bath’s stability and rigidity prevent movement, thus offering the perfect solution to the problem of ‘sealing’.

What sort of customers are they ideal for?

These reinforced baths are ideal for customers who’s bathrooms see a lot of usage, and are looking to get many years of use from the tubs before replacing them.

Customers such as landlords and hotel/b&b owners will benefit from the long life and durability of these strong bathtubs, reaping the benefits over time of a bathtub that can withstand heavier weights and harsher impact damage.

On the other hand there are customers who will benefit from the heat-retaining qualities of the reinforced baths, such as elderly users or those with mobility issues.

So there we have some great reasons to opt for a reinforced acrylic bath, perfect for bathrooms built to last!
