This week, we’ve had a look around and found a number of bathroom products that challenge conventional design rules with some innovative ideas, posing some fascinating questions in regards to the future of bathroom design. Here, we’ve put together the four most intriguing and interesting bathroom ideas from around the web.

Futuristic Shower Lights

Here, we found some fantastically futuristic shower lights. Created by renowned Japanese designers Nendo, these innovative light fixtures were revealed to the public last week. Nendo’s creation attaches lamps to a stylish shower head, with the combination of ceiling and floor light to produce a stunning effect.

The combination of the lighting and the cascading water creates a sensuous effect within a normally average and mundane living fixture, something that has rarely been seen before. This stylish feature is neither a shower head or a lamp, it is a hybrid that provides both day-to-day functionality and an eye-catching light trick that singals a step forward in the world of bathroom design.

Cool Copper Shower

This ultra-modern shower installation from Swedish design triumvirate Front is a truly original piece of bathroom design. They, built from nothing more than  have created a hugely intricate, three-headed shower system, built from nothing more than everyday copper pipes.

Rather than follow the usual route of interior design teams and create a product of hi-tech innovation, these three women decided to do something a little different and more thoughtful. They made their creation from existing bathroom essentials that you never see, as they are hidden behind the wall, and put them on full view, showing how truly stunning they can be.

Space Saving Bath

If you prefer long soaks in the bath and a more spa-like experience, you may be interested in this next product. Designer Dominik Choljnacki has infused the relaxing ideal with a space saving alternative, allowing you to have the 5-star spa treatment in even the smallest of spaces.

His bath, appropriately named the SPAcer, is intelligently designed to fit within any space effectively, as it is possible to fold it up and fit it against the wall. If that wasn’t enough, it comes fitted with jacuzzi jets in the sides, allowing you to bask in bubbly comfort after a long, hard day at work.

Fossilised Sink

If you’ve always considered sinks to be plain white, unexciting elements of the bathroom then think again. This concrete wash basin from High Tech has dispelled that myth entirely, with their revolutionary Ammenite sink.

As the name suggests, this basin is inspired by marine fossil shells, which have been washing up on beaches and improving the look of the landscape all over the world for years. The unique design transforms the simple action of turning on the tap from a mundane chore to a piece of visually stunning designer art. This basin will add a new, artistic dimension to any bathroom and will offer you hours of fun chasing bars of soap and dropped toothbrushes from the clutches of the plughole.
