Are P Shape Baths Any Good?

Are you having trouble deciding whether to install a shower or a bath? There is no need to be concerned: even if your bathroom does not have enough space for both a bath and an enclosed shower, you do not need to miss out on either. There is a solution: the P Shaped bath.

What is a P-shaped bath?

A P Shaped bath is an increasingly popular bathroom design choice for good reason: it offers the best of both worlds while taking up significantly less floor space than a traditional bath and separate shower.

It sounds like something elaborate and complicated, but it could not be more simple. It is essentially a shower mounted above a bath. The main body of the bath is long and straight as a traditional bath tub is, and at one end - where the shower head is mounted - it balloons out slightly, making it into the P shape from which the design gets its name. You can take a bath as normal, or you can stand in there and shower, with the addition of a shower curtain or a shower screen to prevent water from spraying out all over the bathroom.

A shower over a bath is a terrific illustration of multi-purpose design, which is essential for making the most of limited bathroom space in the first place. This is an excellent alternative if you do not have enough space for both a bath and a solo shower, but you still want the flexibility of having both available.

When it comes to bathing or showering, it is unlikely that everyone in a household will be completely in accord, and as a result, most people are reluctant to eliminate either option from the home totally. With a shower above your bath, you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a lengthy, peaceful soak or a rapid rinse, depending on your mood and how you choose to spend your time.

A shower can be built above almost any bath, however, certain bath types are more suited for this type of installation than others. P-shaped baths are available in our extensive shower and bath collection.

What are the benefits of a P-shaped bath?

Outside, it may not appear to be much, but any more space for mobility when bathing will make the entire experience more comfortable.

The P-shape bathtub is ideal for families with little children since it allows you to bathe small children while having the convenience of a shower nearby to rinse bubbles out of their hair. or unwind in a full-sized bath that is equally at home delivering an hour of relaxation as it is housing an efficient shower unit for cleaning up before work. Cleaning is simple as well, making it practical for the whole household.

Bathrooms with this type of feature are frequently referred to as "multi purpose" spaces, because they can accommodate a variety of various functions in each area. As a result, there is plenty of space for two people to get ready without bumping against one another.

The other great thing about a P-shaped bath is that when you are having a shower, you have not got the age-old problem of a soggy wet shower curtain sticking to you - that is not much fun for anyone!

As the name implies, the shape resembles the letter 'P,' which is why some manufacturers refer to it as a 'P' shape instead. They are available in a variety of sizes, but the most common is 30 inches wide by 40 inches deep and 20 inches high

Rather than putting two separate showers and baths in your bathroom, you might think about adding a P-shaped tub instead. It provides all of the advantages of a standard bathtub with the extra benefit of providing you with additional floor room for moving about during cleaning time - perfect for toddlers who enjoy splashing around in their own manner!

If you are worrying about whether you can choose your accessories such as taps and handles, fear not because there is a huge range available for your P-shaped bath, as well as a range of shower curtains and screens to suit any bathroom, contemporary or modern, or traditional.

To sum up, the benefits are:

  • A luxurious design with a fairly small footprint

  • A showering space that is not cramped

  • It is practical for the entire family
