A super easy one – create your own miniature snowman using just a spare toilet roll and felt tip pens! For a special finishing touch, tie a piece of ribbon around him to make his scarf, place on top of the cistern or on a bathroom shelf, and watch your friends and family chuckle.

We all love Christmas! One of the best parts of the holiday season is getting to drape your house with sparkly, shiny decorations and revel in the excitement as the big day approaches. A super easy one – create your own miniature snowman using just a spare toilet roll and felt tip pens! For a special finishing touch, tie a piece of ribbon around him to make his scarf, place on top of the cistern or on a bathroom shelf, and watch your friends and family chuckle.

If you’ve got young children, you’ve almost certainly heard of Elf On The Shelf. The premise is that your toy elf is a ‘scout elf’ and needs to fly back to visit Santa each night to report on whether the children he is watching have been good or bad. Before the children wake up each morning, the elf flies back from the North Pole and hides. The game is to hide your Elf On The Shelf in a new spot each morning in various situations for your children to find! Have a bit of fun with him by hiding him in a stack of toilet roll!

More toilet roll related fun… Recycle your finished rolls by trurning them into clever little ornaments of snowmen, reindeer and Father Christmas himself.  All you need are marker pens, scissors, goggly eyes, felt and glue!

For something a bit more sophisticated and refined, we suggest pairing a nice framed Christmas print with a DIY flower arrangement in the festive colours of red, white, gold and green. You will be able to find festive prints in most charity shops or online auctions for low prices – and you can use them again next year!

Finally, if you’ve got a spare lot of baubles that you don’t want to put on your tree, why not hand them from your shower curtain for a festive washing space? It certainly brightens up a plain white rail!
