Electric showers require their own separate electrical feed which should be matched to the power rating of the shower. If you are replacing an existing electric shower you should ensure you buy an electric shower with the same Kw rating as the existing shower. Your electrician will be able to advise you if you are unsure of this. Power Showers; Power showers are ideal for homes that suffer from low water pressure. 

Power shower have a built in pump which ensure good water flow and eliminates the problem of the shower flow dropping when the water is being used in other areas of the home. Power showers require a separate electric supply and both a hot and cold water feed, the shower mixes the two feeds to achieve the desired water temperature Power showers cannot be fitted when a combination boiler is in place.
