Bath salts are a perfumed crystal substance that softens the bath water. Today many people are experimenting with making their own bath products once they have tried homemade soaps. The fragrance usually comes from essential oils which can be bought online if you do not have a local shop.

 

Bath salts are a perfumed crystal substance that softens the bath water. Today many people are experimenting with making their own bath products once they have tried homemade soaps. The fragrance usually comes from essential oils which can be bought online if you do not have a local shop.

Home-made bath salts make a wonderful present and they can be presented in a decorative glass jar. Alternatively they can be used to decorate a bathroom. You can layer a pretty glass jar with different colours of bath salts. Eventually they fade, but in the meantime they can be used to decorate a bathroom for at least six months.To use the salts add to a warm bath.

Relaxing Dreams Bath Salts

This bath salt has a woody scent is very woody, but despite this it seems to be popular
with women especially women who do not like floral perfumes.

Ingredients
2 cups of Epsom salts
2 tablespoons of baking soda
Essential oils
5 drops of rosewood
2 drops cedarwood
2-3 drops of drops Chamomile

A nice jar with a tight fitting lid

Method
Mix the salts and baking soda in a bowl and stir well. Carefully measure out the essential oils in an egg cup and pour them evenly over the salts stir to mix. Before sealing in a jar
leave them out in the bowl for an hour.
Mix oils in a small cup. Take them and pour them evenly over the salt.
Mix the two very well.

Balancing Bath Salts

3 tablespoons of Sea Salt
3 tablespoons of Baking Soda
Essential Oils
8 drops of oil in total use a mixture of Bergamot, Frankincense,
Geranium, Lavender, Palmarosa, Rose, and Rosewood.

Method
Place all ingredients in a glass bowl and stir well and then seal in a jar preferably with a lid. To ring the changes use two drops of one fragrance and three of another.

Fizzy Bath Salts

3 tablespoons of Sea Salt
3 tablespoons of Baking Soda
1 tablespoon of Citric Acid
Essential Oils
8 drops of oil in total use a mixture of Bergamot, Frankincense,
Geranium, Lavender, Palmarosa, Rose, and Rosewood.

Method
Stir the sea salt, baking soda, citric acid and oils to mix, and in keep in a jar.

Red Earth Salts

2 tablespoons of Sea Salt
3 tablespoons of Baking Soda
1 tablespoons of Powdered Red Earth Clay
Essential Oils
8 drops of oil in total use a mixture of Bergamot, Frankincense,
Geranium, Lavender, Palmarosa, Rose, and Rosewood.

Method.
Add the powders of sea salt, the baking soda, powdered red earth clay and oils to jar. Shake the jar gently to distribute the fragrances well.

Seaweed Bath Salts

2 tablespoons of Sea Salt
3 tablespoons of Baking Soda
1 tablespoon of Powdered Kelp
Essential Oils
8 drops of oil in total use a mixture of Bergamot, Frankincense,
Geranium, Lavender, Palmarosa, Rose, and Rosewood.

Method
Stir them together and then store in a sealed jar.
