Adopting or taking ideas from your favourite celebs when it comes to style arguably gives you the most fashionable outcome.  As they often have professional stylists to ensure they are in keeping with the latest trends, you too could achieve the ultimately stylish results with a little insight into their design techniques. Here we take a look at the bathroom interiors of some world famous names and how you can achieve the same trends in your own home.

Fashionista’s

Donnatella Versace has a bathroom which reflects her opulent and vagarious style. Everything within the space has been designed to make a statement and generate curiosity. All accessories utilised in her bathroom are large and ornate although her huge vaulted ceiling ensure that the effect of space isn’t hindered. The mirrored wall creates the illusion of more space and the huge circular bath with gold taps adds to the glamour of the room. Bronze statues, large paintings and elaborately designed storage cabinets are exceptionally traditional and almost makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

The designer Ralph Lauren may have the advantage of being located over Central Park, but the light infusing in from his large ceiling to floor window is only a small part of why his bathroom generates such a spacious atmosphere. The mirrored walls create the illusion of an ultimately spacious bathroom and the shiny white lacquered furniture further enhances this effect. The light marble flooring looks elegant and the minimal use of accessories keeps the room from feeling cluttered. Although this design would be unpractical for a family, the sleekness and modern design would be perfect for a bachelor pad.

Actresses

As Jennifer Aniston has a passion for Zen and Yoga, her bathroom is very much styled around the idea of achieving the ultimate in relaxation. The idea of simplicity with maximum efficiency has been achieved well with the use of subtly designed furniture in natural materials. The warming colours of dark wood utilised on the walls creates a harmonious atmosphere and the use of large traditional lamps bring light as well as a homely feel into the bathroom. Purchasing a large tub in a contrasting wood colour to the walls creates an interesting feature and the use of a wooden and frost panelled screen allows Jennifer to seclude certain areas of the room off for ultimate privacy.

Nicolas Cage has opted for a ‘Californian style’ and the idea of bringing the outdoors in. In contrast to Jennifer Aniston’s, his bathroom is extremely colourful and a lot less minimalistic. The use of primary colours almost creates a playful atmosphere that would be ideal for a family. Furniture is plain and practical but have been brought to life with mottled blue tiling and large paintings to tie in with the Californian theme.

Musicians

Kanye West has opted for an extremely minimalistic design with only a few but large aspects of extravagance. White walls, ceiling and flooring enveloping an oversized window ensures the effect of maximum space. The large clean lined bath blends in with the walls and being positioned below the window enables a fantastic view. A huge towering fish tank positioned at the foot of the tub certainly creates an interesting feature and along with the cascading chandelier connotes glamour.

Rihanna has kept in touch with her Barbados roots and created a tropical atmosphere in her bathroom. Stone tiling half way up the white walls generate a natural canvas which she has then contrasted with dark wooden furniture. Potted plants bring further aspects of nature into the room, whereas crisp white linen and a dressing table ensures practicality. The simplicity of the bathroom, perhaps due to the fact she also has a further 8 in her home, makes for a space easy to move around and also easy to clean.
